Desktop icons and Keyboard shortcuts tool was introduced and a lot of applications was added like Control panel, notepad, word and excel. Only 10 lakh copy of this was sold.
After that 22 May 1990 Microsoft launched that Windows 3.0 operating system and its support ended 31 January 2001. It was also a DOS base operating system but was very fast with an improved design. It was also the DOS base operating system, but it faster than old windows, and with that came some changes in icon, app and games with an improved design. After that 24th August 1995 Microsoft launched that Windows 95 operating system and its support ended 31 December 2001. It was also a DOS base operating system but a big change for operating system. Windows 95 was launched with taskbar and start button that's why it is easier now for start application. And here some new application added like Recycle bin, Internet explorer, MS DOS prompt. The use of first time Internet was started in this Windows operating system. Here first time we could use desktop icon. And more and less 40 million copy of this was sold.
Windows launched an operating system Windows NT between Windows NT and Windows 95 and Later, another version was launched. Basically Windows NT made for workstations not for home user.
After that 25th June 1998 Microsoft launched that Windows 98 operating system and its support ended 11th July 2006. Windows 98 is an upgraded version of Windows 95. ( One year after the launch of Windows 98, Microsoft launched the new version Windows 98 AC operating system ). It is faster and better use for Internet Explorer and also better support for USB. Here Key size limitation of 64KB was gone. And more and less 30 million copy of this was sold.
After that 17th February 2000 Microsoft launched that Windows 2000 operating system, and after some times Microsoft launched windows ME operating system.
After that 14th September 2000 Microsoft launched that Windows ME operating system and its support ended 11th July 2006. the full form of Windows ME is Windows Millennium Edition. This operating system is shortly released after the release of Windows 2000. This time internet was revalue that's why it has more internet games, and ability system restore and new program and application added like Windows move making and Windows media player. However, Windows ME was a unstable OS compared to Windows 2000 or Windows 98. And more and less 11.3 million copy of this was sold.

After that 25th October 2001 Microsoft launched that Windows XP operating system and its support ended 08th April 2014. Microsoft had the best Windows ever launched. This is the second best operating system of Microsoft behind Windows 7. It had a modern graphical user interface, and any old application that was with it has been updated and the new application added. This operating system was really good. Microsoft also released three service packs of windows xp, and at service pack two Microsoft introduced the Security Center that's why Firewall is on Computer, and booting time is faster and more program has available. And more and less 120 million copy of this was sold.
After that 30th January 2007 Microsoft launched that Windows Vista operating system and its support ended 11th April 2017. It took long time that Windows Vista was released, the developer took much time because this operating system had many bugs. It had new graphical design user interface and more safety than Windows XP. Here sidebar was added and also hardware based program windows Aero was added, Here Voice Recognition option was available . Windows Vista had one major problem here any third party applications did not up to date.And only 60 million copy of this was sold.
After that 22th October 2009 Microsoft launched that Windows 7 operating system and its support ended 14th January 2020. Windows 7 was added many new features with a lot of improvement like Multi-Touch support, new Taskbar, and Control panel had more new option added. overall it had very good performance and this time it is the best operating system of Microsoft. And almost 450 million copy of this was sold.

After that 26th October 2012 Microsoft launched that Windows 8.0 operating system and its support ended 12th January 2016. Microsoft brought a big change with Windows 8, from the beginning of this day, the option of Start menu was removed and replaced with block method. Which was not suitable for desktop it was for tablets. Launched with Microsoft Store, Weather, Online Game & many application for Wanted to give it a smart look and Microsoft removed the windows media center from windows 8 operating system. And it was a huge changer for the audience, because of which the audience used windows 7 to reject Windows 8. At the end Windows 8 completely failed. Only 62 million copy was found to be sold with great difficulty.

After that 17th October 2013 Microsoft launched that Windows 8.1 operating system and its support ended 10th January 2023. Windows 8.1 was the updated version of Windows 8, again the Start menu was added and more applications were added like Google map, camera and search option also more improved. At that time, the audience could not be fully convinced and the block continued to use Windows xp and 7. And only 40 million copy of this was sold.
After that 29th July 2015 Microsoft launched that Windows 10 operating system and its extended support ended 14th October 2025. It will have end support and does not mean that the old window will be dead like that, it will not be dead, it will be added more service pack and will continue.
After seeing so much up and down Microsoft decided to take back the classic graphical user interface of Windows 7. Make Windows 10 very advanced and modern but with windows 7 layout. There are three standard button added on taskbar like Start menu, Search button and Task view. And also Microsoft Edge is released on Windows 10 which is a new standard very fast browser after long time use of Internet Explorer. All the applications that were old were updated and new applications were added like New Music player, 3D Builder, Online Move etc.

Microsoft gave declare that the window 10 is the last operating system of Microsoft and in the middle it will keep coming with minor updates but after every Six Month it will get a big update.
